Year 12 Retreat
Yesterday our Year 12 cohort embarked on a two-day retreat away from the College with the aim of assisting them in recognising the importance of holistic development and give further understanding to the ideal of fullness of life.
“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I reasoned like a child, I thought like a child; when I became a man, I gave up childish ways. What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. What I know now is only partial; then it will be complete – as complete as God’s knowledge of me.”
Students have been engaging in various activities designed to heighten awareness of their own giftedness and that of others. These activities also aim to foster a sense of community among the students, and to enhance their awareness of God and their relationship with Jesus Christ, with a focus on this week's Character Strength of "spirituality."
One key moment for these young men was receiving written letters from their parents/guardians, then taking some time alone to process this moment and the value of these relationships.
