Supporting Those in Need: Winter Sleepout

Tuesday, 3 Sept 2024

On Friday, 23rd August 2024, our Year 10 students took part in the annual Winter Sleepout, which was a key component of our Winter Appeal social justice campaign.

This initiative served as a powerful reminder that many in our community are not as fortunate as we are this winter. Some are without access to warm meals, adequate clothing, or essential toiletries.

The Winter Sleepout provided our students with an opportunity to not only reflect on these challenges but also take meaningful action to support those facing homelessness, food insecurity, and cost-of-living pressures. The event coincided with the conclusion of our Winter Appeal, during which the Mazenod community came together to donate non-perishable foods, toiletries, and warm clothing.

These generous donations will be distributed to local organisations, including St Vincent de Paul and Rosies Oblate Youth Mission, making a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and supported this vital cause.
