Japan Study Tour 2023
From September 9th to 23rd, 18 of our Year 10 and 11 students embarked on a cultural journey in the Land of the Rising Sun.
This immersive experience was all about soaking up Japanese culture, from living with host families to attending classes at our sister-school, Daisho College in Osaka. The study tour also included visits to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Miyajima Island and Tokyo. Our students were able to use their language skills as they interacted with the locals.
Our time at Daisho Gakuen was a very different school experience than Mazenod. One of the differences was 10 minute breaks after each period instead of a recess break, which everyone wholeheartedly enjoyed. Moreover, the Bunkasai festival was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trip. Eating delicious food, playing games, and watching dances were just some of the things that we did during Bunkasai.
