Fr Kevin Davine OMI’s Ordination Anniversary
Today Fr Kevin Davine OMI celebrates 64 years of priestly ordination!
“It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
On this day in 1959, Fr Kevin created history by becoming the first Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate to be ordained in Australia, which took place at St Mary's Cathedral, Sale, Victoria.
Fr Kevin has enjoyed a long and distinguished ministry in education being the only rector to serve in all three Oblate Colleges; Mazenod College VIC, Mazenod College WA, and Iona Brisbane. More recently, Fr Kevin is working as our well-loved Chaplain at Mazenod College, and he also celebrates Mass each Sunday at Good Shepherd Parish, Wheelers Hill.
Our Mazenod College Community prays that Almighty God will continue to bless Fr Kevin with His love and joy. May our Immaculate Mother Mary and St Eugene de Mazenod intercede for all Fr Kevin’s needs.
