Congratulations, Fr Kevin Davine OMI!
Congratulations to our very own Fr Kevin Davine OMI who has recently celebrated 70 years as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate!
This anniversary celebrates Fr Kevin’s 70th anniversary since Fr Kevin professed his first oblation as a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate. We give our most heartfelt thanks and praise to Almighty God for the gift of Fr Kevin’s Vocation to the Priesthood! We also give our sincere thanks to Fr Kevin’s family for their kindness and sacrifices in sharing his life with us all.
We thank Fr Kevin and the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate for Fr Kevin’s Ministry in our Australian Province. Fr Kevin is the only Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate who has been the Rector of our three Oblate Colleges in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. Fr Kevin has also worked in our Oblate Parishes in Sorrento and in Springvale North.
More recently, Fr Kevin is working as our well-loved Chaplain at Mazenod College, and he also celebrates Mass each Sunday at Good Shepherd Parish, Wheelers Hill.
Fr Luis Alonso, the Superior General of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, sent a card of congratulations to Fr Kevin, in which he wrote, “May this wonderful jubilee be a time of joy and thanksgiving to God who has guided your life with provident love.”
Our Mazenod College Community prays that Almighty God will continue to bless Fr Kevin with His love and joy. May our Immaculate Mother Mary and St Eugene de Mazenod intercede for all Fr Kevin’s needs.
