Mission Action Day, or MAD, marks 45 years of unwavering commitment to social justice, evolving from its humble origins as Jog for Java. What began as a small group of students determined to raise awareness and funds for communities in need in Indonesia has grown into a powerful tradition. In 1996, Mission Action Day was officially established—providing students and staff with a profound opportunity to stand in solidarity with the world’s most vulnerable, while raising awareness and vital monetary donations for the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate (M.A.M.I) supporting various Oblate Missions around the world and here in Australia.

How to get involved
This year, we highly encourage each family at the College to donate an amount that is comfortable for them.
Students are also asked to reach out to family and friends to sponsor them in the annual 5.7km Walkathon that will occur at the very start of MAD day.
Families may also donate prizes for the MAD day raffle. If your family owns a business and is seeking sponsorship, or has any items that they would like to donate, the school would greatly appreciate any donations of any size! Any hospitality business who also seek to be sponsored would be able to contribute to our food sales for the day.
Finally, we encourage all students to participate in the event as much as they can, as every single dollar spent enjoying the day is a dollar that will help others around the world.

Unlimited Rides Wristbands
This year, each student will be able to pre-purchase an Unlimited Rides Wristband for $40 to enjoy endless fun on the thrilling carnival rides (Cha Cha, SuperSlides, Dodgem Cars & the Meltdown) on MAD Friday 4th April, 2025. Wristbands can be purchased online via the link below. Student who purchase before Friday 28th March will receive a can of soft drink and a sausage with this early bird offer.
Wristbands will also be available for purchase on MAD for $40, however the early bird offer will not apply.
