28 April 2014

The habit of reading for pleasure is an important skill for successful learners. In supporting the reading culture of the College Head of Library, Ms Camilla Elliott and Library Staff are collaborating with English Teachers to present ‘Reading for Life’ next Monday evening, 28th April at 7:00 pm. The evening is specifically directed at adolescent boys’ reading with the purpose of assisting parents discover how to make reading a family experience, how to help boys select books they will enjoy and discover what to do when a boy’s interest in reading wanes. We extend the invitation to all families and their friends. Reading is critically important in the life of a child. Full details and registration are in this Newsletter. I sincerely encourage every family to make use of this very important opportunity as an investment into life-long learning.
